Just remembering a few things that happened around or on my birthdays in the past.

One year, I think it was 1980, I had had an op and was rushed back to hospital a couple of days after going home, as I was haemorraghing (sp). It meant spending my 33rd birthday in hospital so I sent a message to the chef at the hospital who I had worked with years before. Up came a birthday cake for me and then my friends came in, Liz who is ill now and our other friend, and they brought a bottle of wine and another cake. We were laughing so much the Sister came round and warned them to be quiet or they would have to leave lol

In 1988 the builder was starting work on my house, he put up the scaffolding on my birthday, and a day later my Mum ended up in hospital having had a heart attack. Instead of her being there to help look after my son during the school hols so I could supervise work and move furniture out etc, I had to dash here there and everywhere looking after the house, my Dad at his home, Mum in hospital and move my son and myself into my friend's house while they were on holiday, we were house and rabbit sitting.
