Hi Alistair, I have just seen two other dates which are Nov 13 1934 and August 23 1923, the writing is so small on the document that it is hard to see, I wonder if it's when their visa's run out, she would be 61. |

If it's a government document, this date could signify when it was due for destruction. Perhaps these were held for 30 years. |

Hi everyone, wonder if someone can help please. I have a print out of SS Friesland sailing from Liverpool August 11th 1909, to Philadelphia/Pennsylvania.On the list is my Ancestor Mary Ellen Hall born 1879 Halifax, father Sam Greenwood shoemaker Silsden Yorkshire, it has stamped on the entry October 21 1940 ? would anyone know what this means, the other person with her is Jack, does it say age 1 and infant please. |
