Hi Colette

As Kathleen and Sylvia have said - you really need to register and search on Scotlands People for the records you need, the address is www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

They now have birth and death records available up to 2006 and marriages up to 1932, so you should be able to find quite a lot there. It is a pay per view site, 30 credits cost £6

hi thank you for your help this may sound stupid but i want to go as far back as any1 can remember but dnt really no how to, my gran said she is to old to remember that far back

ScotlandsPeople is a website which has a lot of Scottish records (Google for the full address), but I'm not sure that they have things as recent as you are looking for.

You can buy credits for about £5. I am not certain as I have never had to look for Scottish records myself.

hi i am trying to find my family history about my mums side of the family

BRYSON and the MUIRS

my papa bryson was CHARLES FORBES BRYSON born 1935 died 1987 married my gran ISABELLA MCINTOSH MUIR in 1959. She was born 1939 she is still alive

i no my papa had 8 brothers and sisters iv got names and

i no his dad was also CHARLES FORBES BRYSON dnt no when he was born. He was a coalminer and he married JANE SHIRLAW ORR ROBERTSON born around 1906 and died 1972 age 66 they got married in 1934

my grans mum was JANE TAYLOR born around 1923 died 1966 and her dad wad JAMES MUIR a brickworker dnt have dates for him they had 6 children,

when they were young my papa lived at 36 eastwood drive newmains, scotland and my gran lived at 66 muirhouse avenue newmains,scotland,

i also know my papas grandad was called CHARLES aswell and i know that my grans gran was also called JANE but that is all i know


if any1 can help me anymore that would be great as i feel like iv hit a brick wall



Now you need help from someone who ahs access to Scotlandspeople .... ro you need to access it yourself (I believe it is a pay per view site, or you need to buy credits to see records in full.


I cannot help you with that part.
