Hi Susan

Adobe is fine, just make sure you download it from the official Adobe site www.adobe.com.

Susan, Adobe 7 is compatable with Windows XP, not sure about Vista, but would expect so.

EDIT Version 8.1.1 is Vista compatable.
Download from here:-
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2_allversions.html

If you click download, it should be fine.

Hi Susan,

I just checked on the site that Keith said and there is also a box ticked to download photoshop starter edition, maybe if you untick that it will be ok because Adobe reader is Free.

Susan, make sure you are only downloading Adobe acrobat READER and not the complete adobe package which they will charge for.

Susan, you can see a lot of BMD records free on this site.

http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/

It is not fully covered but improving all the time.

Years covered are 1837- about1920, please don't pay for ones you can get free and you won't need Adobe reader.
