Marriage cert. info. explanation please

I have seen lots of marriage records which just give "of this parish" for both bride and groom. It is not unusual. |

I have a marriage cert. which gives me the details of "Residence at the Time of Marriage" as just Emmanuel. The marriage was1881. I have googled but been unable to find anything, can anyone help with just what this might be please. |
