I have found a relly who was a Captain on the White Star Line. Have been to the Museum in Southampton, but they do not hold any records for the White Star Line, but said most of the records are in Halifax, Nova Scotia. They only have a exhibition regarding the Titanic.(he was not on this ship). |

He was Captain Alexander Elvin S Hambleton, on many ships, but he was Captain on sister ship of Titanic, RMS Olympic. Also Lieutant in the Royal Navy, and served during WW1 |

Couldn't find much, just a small item in the Times from 1920 when he diverted his ship to pick up a sick Captain from another ship. |

He has mention on here - lots of pictures of his ship! |

He is listed as Commander of the vessel Baltic which arrived in New York Harbour from Liverpool on Aug 27th 1920. He is described as being British, 58 yrs of age and 5ft-6in tall. |

Matt - regarding Southampton Library, I went there yesterday, and would appear all records are now in the Basement , Archives Dept. they are only open 12.30pm to 4pm Tuesdays, and 10 am to 4pm Wednesday and Thursday. |
