Heather- I did get some advice from Elaine and Julie on FTforum. I can't make the book too detailed either or I get the message again about adobe but at least I can preview and print something!!

SORTED.

Had to uninstall and reinstall the FTM programme and it now works. Thank you to all who offered tips and suggestions.

Dont know, do you have to save it or something first? There are some FTM experts on their own forum or you can nip over to Family Tree Forum which has a dedicated board too.

Geoff
Thanks but that's where the problem is. I have followed the tutorial and still nothing happens. I have now uninstalled adobe and downloaded another one. I'm off to see whether this works.

If you go to the Help Menu in FTM there is a Tutorial on how to do it.

Can anyone who uses FTM explain to a novice how I pre view and print off a book please. I can't preview it as I get a message to say I need adobe reader (which I have got) and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I am really getting anxious as all my notes are on this programme and I can't seem to do what I want with it.
Thanks
Di
