	Hi Sharon -- I don't pay for access to US records at Ancestry, but I can often trick it into telling me what I want. These might be your people in the 1930 US census: John Newton wife: Amelia Chicago, Cook, IL abt 1896 England William Newton parents: John, Amelia Chicago, Cook, IL abt 1921 (place of birth given for head of house only) As far as I can tell he's the only child. If you post that info at the Records Office maybe, with a subject line indicating you'd like a US census lookup, someone should be able to give you the full info from the record.

Member Since: January 2003 Posts: 4 Send Message	Hello We know that three family members - Norman Murray, William Murray and Amelia Murray (married name Newton) and her husband 'Jack' (John? William?) Newton and 6/7 year old son William emigrated from County Durham to the US in the 1920s. However we can't track them down on the Ellis Island site. We believe they headed for Chicago, Ilinois and that Amelia finally moved to Florida, dying at a grand old age in 1999.Can anyone help? Thank you Sharon
