Just recieved the death cert for Susannah Verancombe who died in 1854 at Battersea and its the right one,she is described as a widow of William Verancombe a butler,so once again thanks to everone who helped me with this.

margeret,susan was the one on the 51 census that was married to the William Vearncombe who died in 1850 and her son William Henry the one who who married Susan Hatch Barber in yarmouth 1872

having re checked the 1812
baptism,Susan was baptised
Susannah,she was married as
Susan Biss,and on the birth certs for her two sons she registers the name Susan

That matches the 1881 census. William H. was born 1847, London (same as Susan Vearnconton's son) and Susan born 1849, Yarmouth. Son William was born 1874 Gorleston, Suffolk, where Susan was from.

OK, I see where my confusion arises.
The widow Susan Vearnconton on the 51 census has a 4 yr old son William and it's him that married Susan Hatch Barber.
Am I right?

J E Reindorp is shown as a widower in 1871 but there is a death for Emily Reindorp in 1863

This seems to be the Susan Hatch Barber who married William Henry Vearncombe the following year. Am I on the wrong track?

None of which helps me find Elizabeth in 1861

Problem here is that it rules out Susan Vearncombe on the 1871 census. She was still Susan Barber.

Geoff what other details do you know, dont forget we know nothing of her at all! Do you know when she was born and where?

I have found Susan on the 1851 census
after that, i cant find her on the rest of the census returns for England,also i have been unable to find a re-marriage,nor a death entry for England.
Susans eldest son William appears on the 1871 census for Great Yarmouth,but
no sign of Susan.
