I must say it's a lot easier to search for a marriage in FreeBMD, because you can enter the husband's full name and the wife's Christian name: |

I would check first on the transcribed index although this only goes up to about 1920 ish. |

Sorry Reg, I couldnt find them on the 1841 census, on the 1851 william and mahala are both 30 yrs old, children are 7 yrs and 5 yrs, is that a help ? |

Without knowing if there were older offspring, it's hard to advise you.....were they shown as being together on 1841 census? |

can anyone please tell me how I go about finding a marriage, ive tried on the LDS site, but cant find anything, I know on the 1851 census, William King and Mahala are the parents of George King born 1844 Bilsley in Norfolk, I have Ancestry, but never been able to get anything other than census really, any help would be great. |
