If they married after April 71 they wont be together on the 71 census unless they were living together before they married and already had kids. How do you know Ann was from Kidderminster?

Have you got the first marriage cert? What are their parents names? What are Dan and Anns years of birth?

Blimey thats lucky if they married prior to the census! But again, unlikely any kids will have been born immediately. :)

The 1871 shows them on there own as per my posting above - do you want them earlier? Not sure why you are looking in Kidderminster for the births? They didnt live there did they?

You probably have this:

1861: Dad is a master blacksmith (3 boys) - have you checked for a will at all?

thanks everyone....daniel and ann (evason) in 1871..and daniel and marianne(mary ann) in 1881....it was the 1871 census i wanted...thanks very much...I`m led to believe that Ann went home to Kidderminster to die....i`m trying to find out if daniel and ann had any children...regards...allan

Heather

Heather Report 22 Dec 2007 10:36

Well there is only that short window between April 1871 and her death which you say is 1873. Have you bought her death cert in case it was anything to do with child birth? As I said above, why are you looking for births in Kidderminster? Would they not have had any kids in Garston? Have you checked with the grandparents in 1881 to see if any oakes kids are with them?

Garstonite

Garstonite Report 22 Dec 2007 10:38

thanks again ,heather..i`ve gone back to 1754-Ralph Oakes ,backford, cheshire with my tree....its just that there seems to be a void regarding daniel and ann...if she went home to kidderminster to die..when?...checking kidderminster deaths on bmd....allan

i`m just looking at one of heathers postings regarding `condition of marriage` disability- view image...can anyone explain what this means please???...does it mean ann was diabled??.regards..allan

KeithInFujairah

KeithInFujairah Report 23 Dec 2007 17:47

Hi Alan, no it does not necessarily mean Ann was disabled, it is just part of the transcription process, to find out if she actually was disabled, you usually have to view the image, there is a column on the right for disablilities ie deaf/blind/dumb etc, sometimes seen imbecile.

could anyone tell me if there`s a site i could find the babtism records for st michaels church in garston,liverpool...this is where daniel married the 2nd time,so it stands to reason if daniel and ann were in garston in 1771 census, they would have registered any birth/death of a child at st michaels...this is still our family church....allan
