Amendment to Birth Certificate

Seems strange that they couldn't find any record of the declaration, doesn't it? I hope you manage to find more information in the parish records. |

Also when I rang the register office to enquire, they couldn't find any record of the declaration except for what was written on the birth cert and suggested the Parish Records/Chest could help. |

In my case ie same situation as yours sounds, my greatgrandmother had to make a statutary amendment because she had 2 more children after her husband died and the father she named for both was her first dead husband. At the time of the second birth he had been dead 5 yrs!!! |
