Pete, just a thought. Would you be able to see if his first wife Elizabeth is on the NBI for me as I think he remarried early 1800. Richard married Elizabeth in 1790? in Richmond..and then went on to marry Susannah but I have no other details. Richard had 6 children with Elizabeth the last one being born in 1806. |

The wife's death cert would only say 'widow of'........and would not add to your knowledge. |

Hi and Thanks for responding. Wouldn't I need a GRO Ref for a death cert for him and if so I haven't found one. |
