If you particularly want to get his birth certificate i would recommend getting in touch with the Lincoln register office. They hold all the certificates for the entire county and can supply a copy in a week or so for £7. |

I've been trying to find your grandfather's marriage but I'll have to give up for now as Ancestry is playing up and I can't get any images. |

As you have details of birth and marriage have you got copy certs? If not may I recommend you get them. These will reveal other facts for you to follow. I see someone has suggested this. B Cert ill give you mothers maiden name; maybe birth address. Fa's Occ. Informant. On a marr cert (I see you have index ref ; you can buy copy certs on line on "Find my Past" web site at a reasonable cost and download them) Witnesses. can sometimes provide clues of relations. Local Record Office may provide copies too if you are able to visit. If not try their web sites.. You could also try Family History Society web sites to view Members interests. Maybe make a contact here. If he had any brothers and sisters you sometimes have to explore their records and as I call it "come in sideways". Good hunting |
