How do I get a french Birth cert?

Did your name marry over here or in France? Did she have children here? If so those certs will give her full maiden name. |

The BMDs in France are held in the town where the event occurred and copied in the County (Departement) archives. It follows that to find the maiden name of your Nan you need to know where she was born and/or married. Lille is a large city asnd will probably have more than one Town Hall so you do really need to know the location in Lille. |
