Hi Clare, I live near Oldbury! Sadly the Old Talbot doesn't exist anymore, at least under that name. There is a photo of the Old Talbot pub, Oldbury in "Oldbury, Langley and Warley" part of the Britian in Old Photographs series. The 1905 photo is a view of Halesowen Street with the Old Talbot in the distance (Halesowen Street and Birmingham Street sort of cross each other). The original is an old postcard owned by Ken Rock. I have tried to scan it but as the photo in the book is not brilliant it isn't coming out too well, however a friend who is a wiz at scaning and reproducing good images from poor ones might be able to help. |
