Can anyone help me how to find out if my grandmother worked at hathersage hall in derbyshire, i have sucessfully traced her line, and now want to try to find my grandfather, who is unknown but i do know that my grandmother worked in a large house around this area and the family she worked for owned their own aircraft and were the first in their area to do so. Does anyone know anything about this or where i can look next. |

Hathersage Hall seems to have been the seat of the Shuttleworth family. There are some papers relating to the family, in private hands - don't know who or where, but dates might be too early for you. You could contact Derbyshire Archives, to see if they have staff records. |
