BVRI is British Vital Records Index, a set of 16 cd's that you purchase from LDS Church through the Familysearch site. They cover christenings and marriages extracted from parish records, usually those not covered on Familysearch although there is some overlap. You have to be lucky to find your family on them. I've never been able to find one of mine. Guess you're one of the lucky ones! |

Margaret, is it just data or is there copies of original records? I would be so grateful if I could also have birth and cristening dates for George and William if possible. Also, how far back does it go? Is there any info on Michael Rapley and John Scotchmur?? |

They're just data, Raych, not originals. |

Where do Richard and Matilda fit into things? Is Richard son of Michael too?? I presume the kids of Edward and John are the ones above, but it would be good to have their dates of birth rather than relying on guessing from census'. Is BVRI transcribed records, so more reliable than IGI? |

Only 2 Scotchmur births in England, 1875 and 1877, both in Hoo, Kent, daughters of Martin & Ellen. |
