I was wondering if there was a kind person out there who could point me in the right direction or lend me a helping hand.
I am trying to trace passenger lists for William Singleton b1828, his wife Phoebe (possibly spelt Phebe) b1828 and their children Mary Ellen b1861, Sarah Alice b1854 and William Orson b1859.
They settled in Utah and I am having trouble finding them on any lists, does anyone know where they could have sailed from and to. They moved from the Derbyshire area between 1861 and 1863 but this is rough given to the dobs of the last child born in England and the first born in USA.
Thank you in advance

Note: After entering the following information, I found something that might suggest I didn't find the correct Sarah Alice Singleton. Was she born in Bristol, Gloucester? If not, the following may not be her.)
Can't find them yet, but found a possible date of their arrival (sometimes the dates are incorrect):
Millennium File Name: Sarah Alice Singleton Spouse: John Russell Emanuel Manning Birth Date: 6 May 1854 Birth City: Marlpool Birth County: Drbys Birth Country: England Death Date: 24 Dec 1931 Death City: Logan Death County: Cache Death State: Utah Death Country: USA Parents: , Phoebe Webster Children: Mary Ellen Manning William John Russell Manning Charles Emaunuel Manning

In case you are interested in the Manning family http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~watkinsbrown/1653.htm which includes the Manning voyage to America and their time in Utah and a photograph of John Russell Manning, Sarah Alice's father-in-law.
"John married Sarah Alice Singleton on 13 Jan 1878 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, USA. (Sarah Alice Singleton was born circa 1856 in Bristol , Gloucester, England, UK and died on 7 Jan 1917 in West Point, Davis, Utah, USA.)"

On Roostweb: http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi # Name: Sarah Alice SINGLETON # Given Name: Sarah Alice # Surname: Singleton 1 2 # Sex: F # Birth: 6 May 1854 in Heanor, Derbyshire, England # Death: 24 Dec 1931 in Logan, Cache, Utah, USA # Burial: 27 Dec 1931 West Point, Davis, Utah, USA # Emigration: 23 Apr 1862 Liverpool, , England # BLES: Jun 1854 West Point, Davis, Utah, USA # Census: 28 Jun 1870 Slaterville, Weber, Utah, USA
Have you traced the Webster family back fairly far? The person posting the information on Rootsweb supposedly traces several of Sarah Alice's lines quite far.

Thank you ever so much that does look like the correct one. My interest is in the Singletons and what happened after William and Phoebe left England. I will have a proper look at all the information and suggested websites and update accordingly.

Charlotte, would you want information from American census records?
PS I've tried everything I can think of - cannot see them arriving in America.

Think I will have to have a look at the census records which I will do from work. Spent so long trying to find them leaving England and arriving in America that I think I went screen blind!
Will also look through what you have managed to find at work today also.
Thank you so much
