If you know the persons first name, approx year of birth and place - quite often they can be found in the census just using that info in the search box. |

The thing you need to bear in mind as well Linda is that it may not be a common variant you are looking for but a miss-hearing, misspelling or a transcription error (from form to form or form to database). |
