Thanks everyone. I contacted the local library who were helpful and looked into lots of local papers but didn't find anything. LMA is closed now until next year so I shall have to put this on hold until then. They also said that not many coronor reports/inquest survive. |

I recently did what Kath has just said. Inquests were reported in the local paper. I contacted the local library to where the death took place and found them very helpful. |

If there is an address on the certificate of where the death took place, then try the closest library to that address as they should have back copies of local newspapers from the time on microfilm, and they will probably have reported on the inquest. |

I went to the LMA looking for London Inquests for 1911 and 1919.was told that only about 10% of records retained and these would be AFTER 1930 ,So I didnt get any info for the ones I wanted |

I have just received a death certificate for a relation who died in Bow London in February 1919. The certificate states a violent death and that an inquest was held. Can anyone tell me where I should look for notes on the inquest? |
