It seems to be working for me at the moment. A little slow, but it is coming home time when the Internet slows right down as people log in to see their emails.

I have been having trouble all afternoon ,first just very slow, then couldn't search anything. Will give it another go.

Hi Gill
Free bmd had been jumping about today.
The info in the boxes was moving into other boxes when I pressed the back button.
Gremlins me thinks !

and is that only for england

Google freebmd. It is the births marriages and death registrations for England and Wales.
It's also free BUT not complete.

Oh, Joan, I was so happy to hear that someone else had the problem with the information changing boxes when you pressed the back button.
I really thought I was losing it! Thought I'd entered a year in the name box. Dementia, I thought!

I was on FreeBMD at lunchtime and had exactly the same problem, very slow on searches and info jumping in to the wrong boxes....
Just relieved to hear it wasn`t just me!

so glad to hear that other people had trouble with information jumping into the wrong boxes on going back to the search page!!

It's been doing it all day for me, is still doing it now ............. and I had a bit of a problem with it yesterday as well!

Morning dont know if this is the same as what someone on a nother site had problems with but the guy from bmd replied to use the revise button instead of the back one hope this helps you. can I ask what BTW means thanks Fay

I was on another site last night and it was suggested that you press the revise button instead of pressing back and it will stop all the info moving about.

Hope it helps. It did for me.

FreeBMD are processing an update at the moment - this takes several days so that could be what is causing the problems - but there will be records there soon.
