Coulld someone help me please.
Where can I find out about my gt.grandfathers army career. He was in WW1, he fortunately wasnt killed or injured, so there is no mention of him on cwgc.org, and there is no mention of him on ancestry.
I dont even know where to start looking.
All I know is on one of his childrens birth cert from 1920 it says ex army

Hi , you could try www.veteransagency or veteransuk. or the nationalarchives /documentsonline they sometimes have some medal card details and where to look further. most ww1 veterans had campaign medals sorry i havnt got the precise web addresses but i just tapped in the above as they were Good luck
