I have recently through Genes managed to find my Grandma. She had emigrated to Canada ..married returned to UK. with her husband and baby to visit relatives in 1919/20 and on the way back to Winnipeg they were all killed , with others, in a Canadian Pacific Railway crash in North Bay. My question is who (and where) would I contact to obtain a passenger list for the ship, (name not Known but the collision was reported in the Manitoba free Press on the 28th. Jan. 1920 ) Would it be the C.P. Shipping Company? and if they do not still exist , where can I look? I would also like details on the C.P.R. crash. They would have a record of it wouldn`t they. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. I have just about got the hang of research in U.K. (to a very limited degree ) Canada....I need help ! Thankyou |
