Member Since: April 2004 Posts: 6 064 Send Message	I am trying to help another GR member with a scottish birth. The problem is the child is born in 1801 the parents are not married and the mother registered the child with the fathers surname. However the fathers christian name is not on the certificate, just his surname. I have never heard of this before has anyone else?? Betty
