Thanks for your suggestions. I will have a look at the commonwealth grave site and maybe I'll find him there. I don't think it was bigamy because the witnesses at the 2nd marriage were family member. |

If they had three children, I doubt the marriage was annulled - unless the first husband was already married when he married her. |

I've found somebody who married twice in the same church and by the same vicar. I haven't been able to find a death for her husband and the strange thing is that on her 2nd marriage cert. she's still a spinster. |

If they were widowed they could marry again in church. With divorce it would be up to the vicar but more than likely at that time they would not be able to. |
