Thanks Pat, unfortunately I live in Canada and can't visit Kew. Oh well, it was worth a try.
Thanks everybody for your help.

Shiela,
The records for incoming passengers are held at the PRO in Kew.
Unfortunatley without any date, Port of Entry or ships name it will be extremley difficult to find them on a passenger list.
I have the same problem with my ancestors. I know that they came into Liverpool from South America and can limit it to a 2 year period. Even then I have over 250 ships list to check.
Hope that helps.

Hi Margaret: I presume you got this info. for the ship too Canada. I have that. Thomas and Ada were brother and sister. Frances was not related .
I don't know what ship they sailed back on or from what port. I presume they left from Montreal, Que. but don't really know. Ada eventually came back to Canada with her husband and family.
I am just curious as to when they went back for the family story.
Thanks anyway.

I see there were 3 Harrisons on that ship, Thomas 20, Ada 16 and Frances J. 69. Was she a family member? Too old to be mother, grandmother perhaps?
Sorry this has nothing to do with your original question. I have no idea how to access passenger records from Canada to England,

Hi..I see what you mean about outward bound...I'm sorry I can't think of how to check return ships unless you ask at Greenock library for help..they have a good archive and Greenock was a big shipping port. God luck.

Thanks Suzanne. I checked the site and it is only showing "Outbound ships". Maybe I am doing something wrong. I know she arrived in March, 1930 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.and I was under the understanding she only stayed a few years. I think she went back within 2 or 3 years. She got married in Scotland in 1936 so that would make it between 1932 to 1934 or 35.
I hope someone can help me.
Many thanks
Shiela

Google...ancestorson board..(free to look)....search your mother's name..get years of travel..you need to then pay for further details.
Or ask on here for look up.

Hi Everyone:
Would anyone know of a site that would give the name of a ship and the passenger list leaving Canada for England in the 1930's.
My mother came to Canada and about two years later went back to England.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Regards
Shiela
