Member Since: November 2003 Posts: 11 Send Message	Help!! On one of my family lines, I have an ancestor who was born in Ireland, according to the 1891 census. His father was a Royal Marine, so we assume he was stationed in Ireland for some time. He married after he came back, which implies to me that his Irish daughter and son were either adopted out there or the children of an Irish wife or mistress. So far I haven't been able to find out where in Ireland my chap was stationed, so I don't know what county the kids wouldv'e been born in - I'm actually considering hiring a pro to do some rummaging but before I take that step, is there anyone who can offer any advice? 	Try National Achives in case he has a navy record on there.
