I have a family of Watertons who were living in Warmfield (assumed as IGI has baptisms for the clan) - James Waterton & Mary - had 6 children John b1814 (who I have found) Anne b1815, Jane b1818, Eliza b1820, Charlotte (who I have found) and James b 1825. I thought I might at least have found James. I think he may be on 1881 as an engineer (as was John his brother) he is married but not with her. He's lodging in Kimberworth. How can he be missing off 1841/1851/1861/1871 & 1891 census records. Very confused. Looked on Ancestry and nobody seems to match up. There is a marriage of a James Waterton to a Barbara Holt but the ages dont tie up. I think this James was a cooper anyway. Arghhhh.. I thought Watertons were easy. Having more luck with my Jones' |
