Hiya have you tried phipps, phips or even Fripps? Transcibes can be very wrong especially on census returns in my experience! Good luck |

I would also consider trying an F in place of a Ph in case they were illiterate. |

Sorry for the delay, I'm looking for Philip Dugdale born about 1830 in Norfolk (I presume). On the marriage certificate of his son to Julia Playford in 1874 his occupation was listed as Sawyer. |
