Can anyone decipher the following please:
Ann Lidget born 16.07.1834 married circa 1855 to Samuel Arnold born 1832. On the 1851 Census Ann is registered Ann Lidget [Ann Brack] her mother is listed as Helen Lidget, and head of household ??? Brack (Widower). I cannot understand the condition of her mother. Can anyone transcribe this for me please .

Oh bother its one of those name corrections that you can not view the reason why it has been altered.

Is Ann really the daughter of John or was Helen a Brack before becoming a Lidget

Linda, if you look at the image, she's shown as a prisoner in 1841. She's in the Bridewell Hospital, which despite its name was actually a prison.

If you obtain Ann's marriage cert, it will confrim whether her father WAS Thomas...........
