Hello. I've come across an 1884 baptism certificate and most of it is in Latin. I've managed to work out what most of it reads, but I'm stuck on a couple of words.

Patrinus fuit
Matrinus fuit

There are names after each entry so I'm assuming that it's something like godparent? Or maybe not.

Does anyone hear read Latin

Thanks
Heather :o)

Thank you INis. I wish I had been taught Latin - it's a nice language to listen to. :o)
