hi can anyone help me i have found james ratcliffe on the following census 1841/51/ and it says he is a publican is there any way i can find out what pub it was i think the street might be chapel street leigh lancashire |

When I was searching for publicans in my Norfolk tree I googled and found a very good site www.norfolkpubs.co.uk which went back to late 1700s. I don't know if this would translate to lancashire but worth a try. |
