hi i added a reply to aposting this morning about what happened to the 2nd stickie and now its gone anyone got any ideas

The originators - who did not ask them to become stickies - that was GR's decision - are understandably sickened by the furore caused by a couple of stickie threads and one asked for theirs to be removed.

Its a great shame as they helped so many new people.

If you added to a thread on this this morning, its probably been deleted by either GR or the originator of that thread.

This site has lost so many of the most experienced people already and this sort of silly nonsense can only serve to drive more away.

Trouble with this site (well, one of the troubles!) is that members are free to change their board identity at will. So watch that space guys - LOL

Oh and watch out someone doesnt change their name to a spoof of yours, or even yours and then use it to post. Its happened.

I didnt see it. Im really upset that those silly threads and remarks have given grief to the kind souls who originally posted those tips. I dare not nudge mine up though Im sure that too must have helped new members.

Its amazing how the people who whinge the most on here are the ones who do the least for others.

And oh yes, watch out for the name changes :)

A rare visit for me to this site, to say this:

I read insulting remarks about the posters of both "sticky" threads and I reported a thread in which I read those remarks.
I have hardly looked at the site again since, mainly because I am trying to rid my memory of certain people (who knew me as Maid Marion AKA Joy Kentish Maid) who cultivated my close friendship yet, at the same time, "stabbed me in the back"; their abusive posts have been seen in the history board, some of which have been deleted by GR, some are still on site.
