Can someone please decipher a town in Glasgow?

Is it larkshall - saw it on a map last night as going to scotland at the week-end, and it is near glasgow

I think it means Lanarkshire. I have old census for rellies in Milton, Glasgow, Lanarkshire.

Lanarkshire, maybe? Although it is not a town.

Glasgow is in Lanarkshire, methinks.

Edited to add a lot of my family tree is in Scotland and the census records show under "where born" the County followed by the place.

It looks like Lakeshaher in Glasgow - but could be something else quite different.

It does begin with the letter "L" tho
