Thanks Peter. That sounds more like it, I didn´t think he was that wealthy and he had A LOT of grandchildren. So we take the first figure on the index then I assume. |

£5 in 1841 is worth £334 in todays money, based on the rpi., which is the most meaningful comparison. |

It is fun, but I always think the figures need to be taken with a pinch of salt as the comparison arent shown against the real economic index. |
