Hi Garry,

Have you tried the LDS website FamilySearch.org

Hi Garry, pre 1837, there was no registration of events, as you probably know. So you will not find birth records in the LMA, unlikely to find marriage records either. The only place you are likely to find the baptisms and marriages is the local records office or if you are lucky online. Have you tried widening your search to neighbouring parishes?

Good luck

Some people who were not baptised as a baby were baptised just before marrying...perhaps in their own parish or that of the spouse.
You may find a whole group of siblings baptised as a 'job lot' many years after birth.Consider whether the family are likely to have moved between the births....look in each parish.

You can order film of parish records so that you can view them at your local LDS centre....details on their site.

You could look for Wills for your surname in the likely area. Maybe your ancestor will be named as a child in their parents Will.

Good luck.
I am still searching ( over 11 years now) for parents of an ancestor born c.1812.
