Yes you can do that or you could ask him to write Living in the first name box and then your husband's first name and any of your family come to that will not be traceable. If they use the hide living relatives option your husband's details are still traceable through the search facility.

Hope this helps

Hi Kath,
Thank you for your reply.
I think that is very very wrong, especially these days when there is so much fraud. I really don't want my families details broadcast. I never give access to my tree simply for that reason. Can I ask him to remove all my immediate living family from his tree?

Thanks
Kath

You are meant to ask permission to put living people on your tree

However, this person may have them on as "living relation" - which is how they would show up if they gave a particular person access to their tree - BUT, in GR's wisdom, if you do a search for names on the site and also when hot matches go out, these "living relation's" details are to be found in full.

Hi,
I was checking through my Hot matches today and my husbands name & details are on his tree. I think the tree might belong to a relative of my sister-in-laws second marriage. Does he have the right to have my hubby's details (probably given by hubby's sister) I was under the impression that living relatives wouldn't show up or that they had to have permission before adding living relatives.

Any advice appreciated please.
