That post on the adoption thread may have been mine. My Father in Law was adopted in 1947 in NSW Australia, and while discovering all the details of the family, we also found out that he had an older brother adopted in 1944, This older brother was adopted by the birthmothers sister, who was allready married. He does not know to this day he is adopted, the siblings of the birth mother once she married knew he was adopted but were sworn to secrecy . They knew the birth mother was a distant relative, but had no idea it was their mother., so their cousin, is actually their brother ! To make things more complicated, there was also a younger sister born 1949, adopted out as well..... |

Have you looked for a birth under his mother's maiden name ?... she might be embarrassed that she had him before marriage. |

Hi, I am trying to find out some details on my husbands past and hitting a brickwall! He sadly died a number of years ago and there was always a bit of a mystery going on but my daughter really wants to know where she came from. |
