The Family History Department in Salt Lake City has developed a new
research
support tool . This resource has been
developed to
help make family history research advice easier to find and share.
There are
two ways to search the site; Keyword search or Browse by country.
FamilySearchWiki is intended as an on-line community for family history
researchers and those interested in learning how to be more successful
in the
search for their ancestors. This site includes all research outlines
published
by the Family History Library and many other articles never published
such as
the wiki material for Japan, China and India. Go ahead, take it for a
spin and
feel free to tell others about it.

Some interesting references on this site. Can´t actually get the info but it does tell you where to go. Didn´t know that you could sell your wife if you couldn´t afford a divorce! Oh and it tells you which census records (mostly 1841) have been lost or destroyed.

I keep hoping to find a couple of people in the 1841, and would rather they not be lost or destroyed, but I'd sure like to know, if they have!

Kathryn, I´ve been trawling through that site again and I just can´t find anything about the missing census records. and it won´t let me into the search box. I´ve spent ages looking but I definitely KNOW I saw these lists, they were in boxes according to the year. Mainly 1841 but a few also for 1851. Someone tell me I´m NOT going crazy!
