Help please - Bombardier R A

I have just discovered from a birth certificate that a relatives occupation is 1929 was a bombardier. Does anyone know if RA stands for Royal Artillery and does this mean he was in the army?Are there any army records I can search for more information? |

Yes, R A is Royal Artillery. |

As he was still serving in 1929 his service records will still be with the Army. |

Bombardier is the equivalent of "Corporal" in the royal artillery, second rank UP from (private)Gunner |
