finding scottish relatives

Scotlands People allow you to download and keep baptismal info and marriages as well as a whole host of other info. I have downloaded a lot of information from this site on my Scottish ancestors including baps back to the 1700's. Cost is not high for this site. IGI is very good for Scottish Ancestry, unlike many counties in England and I have used the two in conjunction.

However, you will need to know names and approximate dates of those you are looking for.

As Reg has said a few dates from you would give people some idea of timeframe you are looking at.

help! does anyone know how to find relatives from scotland? scotlands people seem to only list people who have died and genes reunited only have listings for scotland and wales as we dont have a name for the person we are looking for only her parents we are stuck any ideas? regards richard
