Anyone Heard of the Steele Foundation?

Been trying to help my BIL start researching his family and one thing that came up in conversation is the Steele Foundation apparently in Scotland before 1900 we think. |

No mention of it in the Times Archives. I tried to search the Scotsman Archives, but even using the Advanced search option, it came up with thousands of entries with the word Steel!! |

You can find a lot of info if you google "steele foundation" in quotation marks. |
