I am researching my Bugbud family tree & in the 1851 census on ancestry, Maria Bugbud, born about 1783 in Surrey,is recorded as 'pauper - widow of a _____' and then I can't read the last word. If anyone has access to Ancestry could they please have a look for me & see if they can decipher or make a guess as to what the word is. |

In the 1851 census I would agree with Linda. But after looking at the 1841 census, if her husband was John his occupation was labourer. |

Hi - Thanks for looking. Could be labourer or gardener - one of his son's was a gardener so this is a possibility. |
