Donna Full age means over 21, but it can mean any age - he could even have been 60 or over!! He obviously wasn't because of the info you have, but I'm just saying that it's no indication as to exactly how old he was. I know what you mean about the people who haven't replied - I've had a few like that myself! Anyway, it sounds as though he was just too young to be in WW1 if the 1906 date is right, although may have just made it if he was born in 1902. What was his name? I'll have a look on Ancestry for you, although they only have WW1 records for those discharged to pension, so he probably wouldn't be there anyway, but worth a look! |

Was he old enough to have been in WW1? If so, perhaps he stayed in the regiment he served with then. Also perhaps his regiment may be given on the electoral roll, if you know where he lived. |

His service records would still be held by the Army as he served after 1922. But you'd need to know the regiment to get them! Did they have any children? Perhaps his regiment could be mentioned on his childrens birth certs. |
