I have just got a marriage certificate 1876 where hubby was a Tow Keeper.Not sure if that would be the same as todays. Annie |

Probably something to do with textiles-Tow Cards were used in some way. Google it and see what it comes up with. |

Did they live near a canal? Perhaps it was something to do with the Tow Path. Only guessing. |
