I had a ancestor who was in Birmingham prison. I went to the Birmingham archives. I didn!t find the person although they was on the 1901 census as in prison, but they may have not done the crime in the town they was sent to prison, but you can go back on the court records, it is very detailed and list the name and the crime plus sentence |

I have a ancestor who was in Holloway Prison. How can I obtain records of her, including what was her crime,and length of prison sentence. |
