finally got the name of a ship

Anne, you don't need the name of his ship, just his fullname and date of birth. His service record will show all ships he served on.

Assuming he was RN his naval record should be available on National Archives. Costs about £3.50 to download it. It would give you all the names of the ships he served on.

I just found out the name of the ship HMS Carron that my grandfather served on in world war 1. Can someone tell me if this is enough information for me to get my grandfathers navl records?If so where can I get them from?
