I have a Stuart ancestor who was born in Sligo, Ireland (c1810). I am wondering if it is more likely that his "close" ancestors were Irish, or if there's more likelihood that they were Scottish and came over to Ireland. (Have always considered my heritage Irish and English - wondering if further back it could have been Scottish as well.) Google searches aren't helping. |
