Ewshot Barracks Hampshire

A family member Harry Blomfield Stanford is on the 1901 census as being in the RS Hut Barracks Ewshot, Hampshire along with lots of other young men. Can anyone shed a light on what they were doing there and the likelihood of them seeing any action please. |

Ewshot is sort of between Aldershot (Military town) in Hampshire and Farnham in Surrey towards Church Crookham Hampshire. I just googled as it is fairly local to me and i'd not heard of barracks there but its has been demolished. |

Aldershot is still a military town would it be worth writing to Military Museum there is a lot about it on google. Its not far from me and have been to open days etc there in the past. Jx |

RA: would be the Royal Artillery and HUT would be were they lived untill the Barracks were built in 1903 |
